Tourist Village – Kerbala

Karbala has a distinguished and religious association due to being the home of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussein and Imam Al-Abbas (PBUT). For this reason, this city has become a main tourist attraction especially for religious tourism. Karbala enjoys a landscape that combines desert with lush green areas, which helps create the idea of a village that addresses the tourist’s need of a nature-inspired location away from the city’s noise and pollution. The village also enjoys a desert climate adapted to modern needs. It has tourist accommodation with various interior fitting combined with leisure facilities such as four stars hotels with a variety of restaurants and fitness centers, camel riding area, an artificial lake providing an oasis serving the village as well as enhancing the landscape. This has also helped in creating a boat-renting club as well as water sports. The village includes a mall and a greenhouse. It is worth noting that carriages are used for commuting within the village, this helps highlight its place within the Arab desert climate where tents, camels and horses were used in daily life.
